Re: MCC... campaign setting?
I have some old maps from the TSR RPG Gamma World and I use those as the basis of my setting. I think you can really do a campaign anywhere, but I like to start my players out near their home town so it starts out familiar, yet changed.

There‘s meaning 4 which might make more sense in context of Lankhmar and Leibers stories.

Re: What other Appendix N inspired settings would you like to see?
I know you mentioned "Stalking the Night Fantastic" but the attached image reminds me that DCC Cthulhu would be pretty neat. Lovecraftian New England has a lot of fun places -- Arkham, Innsmouth, Dunwich, and others -- and it would be interesting to have creatures from Lovecraft's mythos s...

Re: Any chance on making some low fantasy adventures?
I agree 10%. Lahnmar is pretty much "low fantasy" from the get-go and it's a fun set of rules as well. Give it a look!

Re: New Judge Here Question About Old Modules
Since we're talking old (pre-DCC RPG) modules, I would love to see DCC RPG conversions of all the old material! Seems like a low-effort move that would dramatically increase the amount of DCC RPG canon, especially for those of us who aren't as into Lankhmar and the other product lines that have bee...

Re: Will we see more TSR Classics instead of Judge's Guild?
Their best material is top-notch, their worst is highly cringe-worthy. JG was known for being very up-and-down as far as the quality of their products, so I wouldn't just look at one random product and then make a decision about the company. Both Dark Tower and Caverns of Thracia are considered to ...

Re: Will we see more TSR Classics instead of Judge's Guild?
Growing up I never even knew about JG. I'm willing to give them a look over, but I don't have like.. an excitement of them being republished like some people do. I can see why some people would want them to be published though so I think its alright. Ultimately the sales on these will determine if ...

Re: PLEASE - the Giants/Drow series neeeexxxxxttttt!
Since WotC did their own Giants hardback not so many years ago, I suspect that GG has less enthusiasm for that project compared to a few others. No advantage in competing with WotC on this.

Re: Will we see more TSR Classics instead of Judge's Guild?
I think that many of the best TSR modules have already gotten OAR treatment, and some of the others have gotten WotC treatment. (For example, look at Tales From the Yawning Portal and see some awesome modules already converted into 5E. I can imagine that Goodman Games would avoid doing those since t...

Re: Question on new Lankhmar 5E book and magic.
The downside, of course, is that Goodman Games will only invest a certain amount of resources to the Lankhmar IP, so if they are producing more 5E Lankhmar that means probably less DCC Lankhmar. :( There are separate 5e and DCC creative teams, so I don't imagine it actually slows anything down -- i...

Re: Question on new Lankhmar 5E book and magic.
CapnZapp, I think we're on the same page overall with this, or at least more similar than different. In the case of my group (family, so hard to just walk away from) my players are much more interested in 5E than any other rules set. We may play something like DCC for a short while, but they always ...

Re: Question on new Lankhmar 5E book and magic.
I think that the Lord of the Rings 5E rules (Adventures in Middle-earth) are an excellent example of how 5E can make a world come alive in ways not the same as the standard core rulebook. The way AiMe put a culture/race spin on classes, for example, gives a solid Middle-earth spin to the rules. The ...

Has anyone done DCC Blackmoor?
Dave Arneson's Blackmoor setting is perhaps my all-time favorite commercial setting and the times I've run it I mostly do it with OD&D (or sometimes C&C or occasionally 5E). What I would really like is DCC Blackmoor , since the DCC rules have that 1974 vibe and I feel like they would fit the...

Not strictly a DCC topic, or a Dying Earth topic, but it is a Jack Vance topic so I figured this would be a good place to start this thread. I owned all three of the books in this series years ago in mass paperback format but never got "into" Vance at that time (plus the font size was smal...

Re: Run ! Movement & Run ?
(1) In regular combat round action I allow move-move to replace move-action, where action could be fight or something else. To me, that would represent running, since the character is focusing all attention on movement. (2) If I wanted to simulate a race I would throw some randomness into the thing....
