Greyhawk locations...

...for the DCCs.

Pour moi, so far I've used the location of Ghost Tower of Inverness in the Duchy of Urnst for Mysterious Tower, the Mist Marshes for Legacy of the Savage..., and a location east of Hardby for Sunless Garden.

Anyone else use Greyhawk, or other world locations?

My campaigns sometimes go that way as well, and I enjoy the oft time they do; it brings a certain spice to the game.

I'll have to give my thumbs up for this idea. I wouldn't be interested in a large volume of adventures of this style, but I'd certainly pick up one or two. And that's really why I picked up 'Citadel of the Demon Prince': it looked like a longer than usual DDC my group could really sink it's teeth in...

Oh no problem... I'm just sorry it took me so long to pick up this resourse! I guess my questions mainly stem from the fact that my gaming group is about to start Mysteries..., and I'm determined to make the most of it. I'm only allowing these resourses: Players, DM's Guide, Complete Guide to Drow, ...

I was mainly wondering about the omission of the Burol, and the radically differing stats for the drider.

Thanks! Also, I was wondering about starting gold based upon rolled social class... And out of curiousity, how large was the average party at the tournament for this game (number of players). I'm trying to set the parameters for the players to roll up characters using the complete guide, and if I se...

Mysteries of the Drow starting magic items...

I'm just about to start this campaign, and was wondering if you guys had any thoughts on determining starting magic items for my five 7th level drow players.

Thanks

I'm currently DMing this adventure...

Anyone (who has DMed the campaign) have ideas as to what a 'fully alerted' castle would look like?

I've my own ideas, but would love to hear how others have handled a full-scale alert from the presence of invading characters...

I personally like all of the inside black & white artwork throughout the DCCs...

...that cartoony look reminds me of the art inside of the 1st edition Dm's and Player's guides, and really brings out that 1st edition feel.

When members of the party have access to this spell, it tends to make encounters not so difficult for the group.

Anyone have any advice on how to even the odds for the monsters?

I personally don't mind the odd evil party; it certainly keeps players on their toes when they have to worry about one another. I'm not really sure where the concern comes from when people talk about playing evil characters. I mean, actors play villians all the time in movies, etc. ...and dm's do it...

I wouldn't mind a DDC adventure set on the high seas... Oh -on a side note- how 'bout a Goodman Games product featuring rules for adventuring in different climes, etc? Say something like the ol' first edition D&D Wilderness Survival guide. It's just that my group is so taken with your products, ...

Perhaps more new monsters by the writers of DDCs themselves?

Monster selection in DDCs

I'd like to see the DDCs make use of monsters from other published books by WOTC as well.

ie. Fiend Folio, MM III, etc.

ie. A cold weather locale, that makes use of rules included in the adventure for related checks, hazards, etc.
