Re: Is this possible? And if so, how would you do it?

My take on this would be to make a new cyber option - cyber body - that was available to starting characters if they took all the possibly available cyber options on one app. This would then include a stack of starting bonuses and penalties appropriate to the situation, yet leave room available for ...

Yes, but the file hosting abilities are fairly well used - there's some good stuff up there, and worth signing up so that you can get to the files area to download (just say you don't want any emails when you join up)

The club used to have two permanent tables with the same old faces at the same table every week. The members decided if it was to attract new members and make the place feel like a club they needed to mix things up. We now have four or five tables running simoultaneous each rotation. GMs offer to r...

We ummed and ahhed a bit over whether to gove pursuers access to Search or not. It does make sense, but felt it was too often used as a "thief skill" and not enough as a more general skill to be fully suitable for pursuers. Plus the original pursuer we designed was far and away the best of...

I see Alaska, along with the other side of the pacific rim, being largely untamed desolate widernesses. However, the Soviet economy is built on high-tech scope industries, with a number of significant costal cities being pretty heavily populated and full of techie-nerd types. (think socialism meets ...

D&D Online, anyone??

Hi folks, I've just got into D&D online (perhaps a bit late), but I was wondering if there was anyone here played it, particularly in europe (we could start an Etherscope guild...)

New unofficial trailer vid posted

Hi all, For those of you who don't know, I'm an ICT teacher (computers) in RL. At the moment we're teaching how to make and edit simple video files, so I decided to put one togetehr as an example, and thought you lot might be interested in seeing it too. I've posted it to the yahoo group: http://gro...

I toyed around with "Take a 15" for starting characters when I was designing it, but Nigel didn't like the idea. It is messy, but perhaps makes a good house rule to speed up the situation.

Steamborgs underpowered?

Hi all, I've just started playing a DM game and I'm playing a steamborg (by far the coolest class). We stated with pregen characters, so I just picked it because it sounded cool, but looking at them in more detail they seem a little underpowered. Have I missed something major, or has anyone got any ...

Perhaps Max Dex Bonus isn't the best terminology. If you think about it as "Max Dex" for an item of armour it might make it clearer - the highest dexterity you can have and still use all your dexterity bonus to defence. A Leather Jacket (max Dex bonus +8) is the same as max Dex 27. If you ...

Some are known to many, some are not. Some as yet exist only inside the heads of Nigel or myself.

To which one in particular do you refer?

Just a quick point of information: Middle classes weren't workers of any description. They were professionals (lawyers, teachers, priests, politicians and doctors), businessmen (from shopkeepers to industrialists who own vast empires of factories), and those paid to be in charge (facotry managers, g...

Fighting techniques are cross-class skills for anyone other than a combatant who has taken the fighting technique talent. Generally speaking for a level 1 savant, you need to spend 4 skill points and you would get two ranks in the FT skill. You also need to make sure you have the prerequisite feats:...

Was it you posting a "sell me on..." to RPG.net the other day? Glad to see our responses persuaded you to take the plunge (if it was you :) )
