Don't know if these are any use to some of you but I think it'll save on time and paper for the 'funnel'.
I think they'e brilliant, and I'll be using them

Read languages: Interpreting simple meaning requires a DC 15 check. Interpreting anything more detailed is DC 20.

Is it really DC 15, or should it be DC 5?

Re: Isle of Dread Map.

As part of my Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG campaign I have been adapting old modules to suit my needs. In this case I have dumped the players into Taboo Island. :) The central plateau needed to be adapted so here it is in my version: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd8/romprecentor/GM%20File/th_Is...

DCC - Warhammer

I hereby announce the official thread for interested parties to begin putting forth their musings and more practical applications pertaining to the converting of the esteemed ' Enemy Within ' Warhammer campaign to the DCC Rpg. For starters we need rules for Poison , Disease and Insanity , and tests ...

Spell Level Max

Only glanced at the DCC rpg, but I noticed that wizard/cleric spells only go as high as 5th level. Makes sense in a low levelled rpg. I'm interested though, in knowing the design process taken when culling the spells down to 5th level. What criteria was forefront when deciding what gets thrown out, ...

Re: Ordering and the PDF

Thane, your best bet is to order from Leisure Games. They were prepared to get in the pre-order deal (I would have gone with them until Joseph offered the $4 shipping) and they often bundle the pdf with the physical book. Good idea, Thank you EDIT: There's nothing about a 'DCC' rpg in Leisuregames'...

Re: Ordering and the PDF

I don't believe so. I think the Free PDF copy and printed module were exclusive incentives to the Pre-Order. There might be a copy of the module included in the first 1000 orders... but I doubt less than 1000 orders were made. Don't most rpg companies offer a free pdf if their game is purchased? So...

If you order the hardback when it's fully released to the public at the end of April, early May, do you still get the pdf bundled with it?

Re: DCC: Warhammer

What do people think about using the DCC rules to run the Warhammer 'Enemy Within Campaign?' What with DCC not being tied to a setting, I think it would work a treat. But are there any rules in the game for character insanity? My friend things this is important in the Warhammer world, and the campa...

Ordering and the PDF

As I understand it, I've lost out on the DCC " Doom of the Savage Kings " 66.5 adventure because I didn't order the limited edtion before April 1st. But if I order the standard DCC rpg, will I receive the DCC pdf at the same time I place the order? Don't think I can wait another 3 or 4 wee...

I cannot find it and would love to know what it says. Can anybody PM me with it? Much obliged. Have to say, seeing as I'm very probably not going to purchase the limited editon, I too am edging toward asking someone what it is. I would like to suggest that anyone desiring to know what the message, ...

EDIT: I see there's another similar thread, the 'pre-order' one. Feel free to delete this one if you wish.

Another reason to love this game

Wow...this may be blatantly obvious to you all, but I just found this out. Check the pic below, it's from either the ad&d phb or the dmg. Three roguish characters enjoying the spoils of battle. http://i1075.photobucket.com/albums/w433/cmjo/thieves2.jpg Now check out the pic below from page 6 of ...

Best 'Advice' in the DCC Game is...

The best advice in the DCC game is this one from the Beta, page 53: " Only make a skill check when practical descriptions by the players will not suffice ." If ever a rule summed up 'old school', this is it. It completely encapsulates how to run an old school type game. Looking forward to ...

The only gripe I have - and it's nothing major - is the game topping out at 10th level.

I may have to increase the xps needed to level up as I've got so much to throw at them.

So, could an original DCC module (the ones that came out before the DCC rpg) and the old classics like Tomb of Horrors etc, be run using the DCC Rpg, or does the DCC Rpg enforce a different kind of vibe/atmosphere?

Those lessons that were learned are reflected in the final rules.

The folks worried about wizard corruption at high levels may be pleasantly surprised when they play the final rules.
