Re: wtb: 83.1 and 84.1

I'd also love to know if 83.1 will soon be available. I just picked up the Chained Coffin boxed set, and I absolutely love it! I'm going to be running a campaign in the Shudder Mountains and would love to have this extra material. Please make it so! I don't have any insider information about when &...

Thanks for the recommendation!

I finally got around to checking it out, and I watched like 8 episodes in a row. Great stuff!

Re: Stereotype Rules

I love the concept of this, even through it doesn't fit the traditional fantasy setting. Love the chart and the fact that it can help generate some characters with real personality. Is there an actual "Save Steven" adventure out there, or is this just a homebrew game session? My game, and...

Re: Stereotype Rules

Have you seen Todd and the Book of Pure Evil, a Canadian TV show? Same concept! And it's awesome. It's totally a small party of High-school kids dealing with an evil in their high-school. People die all the time in the most gruesome ways. Todd, eventually acquires a sword, his buddy Curtis has a fa...

Re: Stereotype Rules

When I first got the book, I said I was going to run an adventure called 'Save Steven!' in which 80's students would have to save their buddy from fantastical misfortune. So what kind of fantastical misfurtune did Steven have? Steven was a popular kid that fit in with every clique. Lately, though, ...

Stereotype Rules

When I first got the book, I said I was going to run an adventure called 'Save Steven!' in which 80's students would have to save their buddy from fantastical misfortune. I did just that, and I thought I'd share with you the alternative I had for the occupation and equipment rolls. Instead of having...

Re: Gladiatorial Rules

Yeah, sort of the opposite of a funnel. Another thing that these kids disliked about the idea of rpg's was the way you can die forever. So, I made it so that they could have some guys, their special guys, that they fight each other with that do not die. Naturally, they are having more fun going out ...

Gladiatorial Rules

I’ve got my dice rolling friends, but they’re too invested in Pathfinder to be brought over to the DCC side. These friends say that DCC is great, but they’ve spent so much money on Pathfinder products that they do not want to convert. Then I’ve got my friends that play things like Magic the Gatherin...

Re: 0 Level Action Die

Thanks, guys! Yeah, this kid said you roll a d10 and on a 10 you roll another d10. Sounded to me like he might be playing beta rules, but I've never seen them. It seemed crazy to me that the first thing you'd fight in a 0 level module you'd have an 8% hit chance. Seems like everyone's going down wit...

0 Level Action Die

Hi,

Somebody just told me that at 0 level all characters should be using a d10 action die to attack. I thought it was a d20 action die at 0 level. Anyone know which it is? I do not see anywhere in the book that says that it should be a d10.

Thanks!

Font?

Can anyone tell me what font the DCC RPG rulebook uses? I am not very familiar with fonts, and I want my player handouts to flesh with the book. Yes, I failed my Read Magic spell check.

Thanks!

Re: Introductions Thread - Join the Band!

Hi, I'm Steve. When I was a boy, my mother came back from shopping one day and tossed a book at me. She said, "Read." The book was titled, Kender, Gully Dwarves and Gnomes , a Dragonlance book of short stories. Never before had I read fantasy adventure tales. My mother had not the slightes...

Module Subscription?

Hi, I was just thinking about how great it would be to be able to just get the new modules sent to me as they come out. I looked around the store to see if I could sign up for a subscription, but I did not see anything like that. I like the idea of going to the mailbox one day and seeing a brand new...
