Re: Two questions regarding deeds of arms

Some ideas for weapon-specific Might Deeds... In addition to those deeds appearing on page DCC RPG page 92, allow the following weapons the indicated capabilities on a successful Mighty Deed of Arms (MDA). Flail: A warrior with a flail can choose one of two options before making his roll: 1) allow t...

Re: Three Things I Don't Love About DCC

Ogrepuppy and Karaptis

Do you want to try a game via conference call? We do this for work all the time, why not an RPG? If you're interested send me an email and I can look into the technical details.

Re: DCC in Northern Virginia

Outside light filters into this 50’ by 50’ chamber through the bars of a window overhead. A 30’ tall bronze statue of some strange man-beast with a bull head dominates the space. It sits cross legged in a kilt of armor and holds a twisted snake with both hands before its bare muscular chest. Obsidia...

DCC in Northern Virginia

If you live in Northern Virginia and want to join an Old School Revival then drop me a line. After reading the DCC rules, I'm ready to step back in time to 1979 - when I first played D&D. I've already started creating a "funnel" for 0 level PCs that rivals the all time classic, B2 The ...

Re: Two questions regarding deeds of arms

That would prevent round after round of melo drama. You do need some mundane rounds in there to give the MDs prominen...

Re: Introductions Thread - Join the Band!

I'm a 41 year old diplomat (American) who has not played RPGs for about 20 years. But DCC looks like a good game, even if the vast array of dice presents some practicle problems. And, I now have some free time. So if anyone in Northern Virginia wants to arrange a crawl let me know.

Re: Mystery Map Adventure Design Competition

I'm hard at work on my design for the mystery map contest. It comes in at just under 1,000 words. After some more polishing and proofreading, I'll submit.

Re: More "crunchy" weapon rules?

DCC looks like a great system that returns to the roots of role (roll) playing. I like the simplicity, but also feel a need for a little more granola in melee weapons. Under the current system, across all weapons there is only one universal variable – the damage die. Yes, some weapons have variation...
