Re: Roll under vs. DC
Brain fart; I was calculating it as roll under on 3d6 not on a d20 (and it was equal or under). I'll make another graph later, the d20version will have more of a straight line.

Roll under vs. DC
So I was wondering which was "harder" and it occurred to me that roll under is very tightly tied to the ability score while DC is only somewhat influenced by it. Which only made me more interested in the difference, so I gave in and made a rough graph. If you have a hard time with the labe...

GnomeBoy, did this adventure get published, or do we still have that to look forward to?
(it looks like a great funnel: everyone clearly had a blast and some people lived!)

Are tournament level 0s good for home use w/ few players?
For various reasons I'm looking at running DCC RPG with a small number of players (at least at first - I expect I can get more if I can convince the initial group). I have not run DCC RPG before (but I loved the old 3.0/3.5 DCC adventures), and my players haven't played DCC RPG before. So I'm lookin...

Try http://peoplethemwithmonsters.blogspot. ... s.html?m=1 scroll down to spells. I don't know if that has them all, or just "most"

The daemon cycle by Peter v. Brett.
The daemons own the world, the known world is tiny. Man doesn't really band together in this time of desperation.

Re: Kid Heroes
I'm not sure how much "historical accuracy" matters in your campaign (this isn't a knock, some people enjoy it, some are bored by it) but childhood to the extent that it existed use to end WAY sooner. Depending on what sources you use and how you define adult (and the social class the chil...

Is level#1 in the works?
Is level#1 in the works? My players are about to get started (or at least they are at the tail end of DCC17, and will soon be ambushed heading to garland's fork....or they will do something unexpected). I'm currently painting the alternate outside area that is in Saga of the Dragon Cult, but I'm not...

Re: 8th world
I am getting ready to run DCC#2 and was wondering what is the 8th world?
It isn't really detailed anywhere, so it can be anything you want it to be (so long as it isn't very pleasant). You might want to look at "area 3-8" for a little inspiration, ...

The party was foolish enough to let the kobold lead them into the gardens...and even to let him into the garden first (unarmed). Now the garden kobolds are extra alert, and I figure they had an extra cross bow for him... Now the only thing left to decide is exactly how far down the path the party wi...

When 4e comes out I might have finished the dragon cult saga. Then I'll be starting Castle Whiterock. I'll be good until 4.5e :-) In all seriousness I'm looking forward to 4e putting an end to sleeping between every encounter, and the more fluid combats and making it easy to handle more critters per...

I hate you all (in a good way). Now my wife has discovered that her complete Hero Quest collection is incomplete as there were 2 USA only releases. Which can be found on Ebay. For over $300 each. Does anyone out there want to buy a house in CA (she's a Realtor, and it makes sense to get her ...

DCC#2 captured kobold motivation? (spoilers)
The party I'm running through DCC#2 has captured a kobold. Two actually. On the 1st level they captured one who after a bit of torture came up with the plan of leading the party to the chest with the dolls and trying to flee during the combat. (it actually worked out even better then that since one ...

DCC2: Any ideas for counters for alter/candlesticks? (spoile
In 3-2 there are living candle holders (5x5) and an alter (5x10) formed from living critters. Any ideas on what I can use for counters or cardboard standees? I found some nice mushroom ones for the boats by using google images search (similar for the dolls). I haven't found anything useful with that...

Are any WFF's suitable for 2 player games (DM + 2 players)?
I have a regular game group of 4 players, but some weeks 2 of them can't make it. I'm looking for a "off weeks" thing to run. The WWF's look like they have the kind of flavor I would want in a irregularly scheduled game. Are any suitable or trivially modifiable for two players rather then ...

Which do you buy your DCCs in, PDF or print & why?
I have bought in both, but only run ones I've bought in PDF. My pros and cons: Go PDF: + I can cut & paste the room descriptions into something where I can edit super easy, and still read the results. I do this to a lot of the rooms so the descriptions use similar phrasing and language to what I...

If it is anything like past DCC modules (adventures?) it will be avilable in PDF. The DCCs I have bought in PDF have been less expensave then the print versions (and easier for me to smuggle into work and study on game day). The print version does not include a free PDF version. (I think Mr. Goodman...

Dragon Saga PDF
The PDF is just the wrap around story, not the original adventures. Which is also why the PDF is under $10 if I recall correctly ($7 at paizo in fact). I haven't read the Saga PDF very closely yet, but what I have read makes me think it is worth far more then the $7 I payed. I was already running so...

Help me figure out EL for a DCC2 (Tsathzar Rho) encounter
Warning: this is a spoiler for anyone who is intending to play DCC2 (The Lost Vault of Tsathzar Rho), which is also part of the Dragon Cult Saga. So after my players managed to get up to the hidden tunnel (1-7, attached to the giant cavern 1-2) they foolishly left the tunnel. I decided...
