Re: DCC RPG modules for 5E games
Recently I have been thinking about doing that. I'd say you are on the right path with your thoughts.
I would also give the plants Resistance to Bludgeoning, Piercing, Psychic damage, or something like that.

Re: 2nd Ed Modules for 5th Ed Rules?
I can't speak for finarvyn, but 5e, in general, has lower ACs but more HPs per creature. They intentionally designed it so lower level monsters will always be a threat to PCs, although not much of one in some cases. Magic weapons and armor are less abundant than in older editions. Immunity to non-ma...

Recommendation for future adventures
Nope, not story ideas. I'd would prefer to see a bulleted list of important things for each encounter before the "read to party text." Or maybe right after. For example: r-1 kitchen • gem hidden In flour sack • all doors locked dc15 • gaping hole in west wall leading to r-2 The foul stench...

Re: Glitterdoom Question
Thank you. The "waves" of greed grubs at the end made me wonder about this entry, but what you said makes perfect sense.

Glitterdoom Question
Why does the entry for Greed Grubs have (3) after it. Does that mean 3 of them are CR 2?

Frozen in Time Character Tracker
I had five players use the 0-level character generator at Purple Sorcerer's website. Then I asked them for names. I drew pictures of all the characters on a tri-fold presentation board. I bought some skull stickers at Nobbies. When characters die I'll put a sticker near their portrait. The Character...

Re: Metal Bands Are Not the Music for RPGing :)
But...you have to listen to the Sword and Led Zeppelin. They have songs about The Dying Earth and the Lord of the Rings! This topic is close to heresy!
I kind of like movie soundtracks myself. The Daft Punk Tron soundtrack is cool for sci fi stuff.

Re: Where to buy figures for DCC?
I made stand up counters for People of the Pit. I drew pictures of the beastmen and tentacles, scanned them, shrunk them, and then printed out the stand-up counters. It was a bit of work, but fun.

If anyone can reach him, please let him know that he has an PM waiting and I'm running out of time for his response. Nothing serious, only a pending DCC game on Free RPG day!
Thanks for you help!

Re: B3 Palace of the Silver Princess Adaptation
My campaign stopped, and so did production on my conversion/recreation. I lost the map I was working on, but I have the text. It needs editing for clarification and grammar, I'm sure. Feel free to run with it and let me know how it goes. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tDG_OD9JrDY-edfKkbzaYVvLrN...

NPCs: Konrad and Yasner
Hi, I've come up with two NPCs to help move the PCs from Sailors on the Starless Sea to Frozen in Time. After the dragon ship shoots out of the cave into the wilderness, I'm going to have the ship smash against the rocky banks. The PCs will be knocked out. When they awaken, the PCs who grabbed the c...

Sundering Modules
Hi,
I like to read books set in the Forgotten Realms, but I don't play them (or play DnD, really). I'm wondering if the new Sundering modules are worth reading just to get a sense of changes coming to the Realms?
Thanks!

Re: B3 Palace of the Silver Princess Adaptation
Thanks to those who have contacted me. An update: I am going to run another 1st level module before throwing B3 at them. If some of them make it to level 2, I'll need to make some slight adjustments. Plus, I probably need some more GMing experience behind me to have a better sense of how to balance ...

Re: Quick Question about Sailors and "Tomb of the Fallen"
I have both sides "baned." The players are scared to death of the door. They found one side when the wall collapsed.

B3 Palace of the Silver Princess Adaptation
Hi, I'm finishing up an adaptation of B3 Palace of the Silver Princess for DCC. The green cover version of the module has a story that fits the DCC style. I'd like to have some folks look it over before I throw it at my players. I created it in google docs, so if you want to have a look, and promise...

NPC Wizards and Corruption
What do you think is the appropriate amount of corruption for NPC wizards? I was thinking about this rolling a d8 for each wizard level and then consulting the following: None (0 or less), Minor (1-4), Major (4-6), Greater (7+). Is that enough/not enough? I'd ignore the pass out result on the Minor ...

Out of Luck
One of my players rolled up a character with 16 luck and so named the character "Lucky." Well, he made it through the first adventure and became a wizard. That should have been the first sign the character was doomed. On his second adventure he didn't fare that well. I like how some of the...

I assume elves have other interests aside from adventuring. Adventuring is an uncouth profession for an elf.

Queston about Sailors on the Starless Sea
The Chaos Effigy is AL L? How very chaotic. :) Okay, that wasn't really my question. I'm curious about end of the module where players have d6+2 actions to get on the boat so they can escape the collapsing cave. Is this just sort of an abstract system for estimating the time it takes to get onto the...

Portal Under the Stars
I ran portal under the stars this past Friday. I had 22 PCs enter, 9 came out on their feet. They drug out 11 that didn't quite die, but came close. The 9 that came out unscathed were awarded 10 EXP and will advance to 1st level next time we get together. The others were awarded 5 EXP. They will rem...
