Re: Default DCC setting?
I don't see either what's so condescending about Judge Paul's post. As for Áereth, Goodman Games did create a boxed set during the d20 boom, but that no longer shows their current vision of the world. There have ben a few bigger adventures for Áereth (Chained Coffin, Journey to the Center of Áereth...

Re: Default DCC setting?
Dude, how about if I feel patronized and talked down to then I feel that way.
Manners?
I didn't swear, I did not insult, I did not impune, I stated my perception.
Manners?
Really.

Re: Default DCC setting?
The "default" setting of DCC is what is laid out in the core rulebook. It is a world where monsters are mysterious, magic is unpredictable, and little is known about the world. It is a land ripe for exploration and discovery, steeped in the ancient lore of a thousand fallen empires. Other...

Try these from Roll 4 Initiative https://www.amazon.com/Dry-Erase-inch-D ... B016H0TNFY, you can pre-draw stuff ahead of time and add them to the map as needed. And they can of course be drawn on the fly.

Re: Default DCC setting?
The closest thing would be DCC's in-house "World of Aereth," which takes the proper nouns of the DCC Rulebook and expands from there. Goodman Games sells a gazetteer for that world if you are interested, but it is a very macro-scale world - providing you room to put in all the details. Th...

Default DCC setting?
Once upon a time D&D's default setting was Greyhawk or maybe Mystara if you prefer BECMI. Then came the Forgotten Realms, DragonLance, Dark Sun, Spelljammer, Ravenloft and everything else. With 3e they made it Greyhawk again but the the Realms popped up and I have no idea about 4e and with 5e it...

Re: Looking for DCC Players in Indianapolis
A quick update, I participated in BoCC over the weekend and am working on more online gaming. I like the idea of Zoom and theater of the mind type stuff. People would just roll their physical dice and be honest because that's part of the fun.

Re: That dice chain
Being new to DCC but a LONG time gamer, I'm 48 and have been playing since 6th grade, I find the Dice Chainrefreshing. I have PLENTY of games with standard polyhedrals, d6s (I'm looking at you WEG Star Wars) and d10/percentile; so to have anything that puts a new twist on dice is welcome. And really...

Re: Looking for DCC Players in Indianapolis
Hello,
I am VERY new to DCC, having it talked up by my friends. I am in the Indy area. When everything settles down, post pandemic I am 111% interested in playing and/or jduding games once I get some under my belt.
