Re: Classic Modules
The main problem I've got, is I want to use DCC to run the classic modules. I don't want to convert the classic modules to DCC. Ok, I'll probably 'tweak' the classics a little bit. How would you say the levels stack against each other? Simply double the original to get the DCC equivalent? DCC/Origi...

Re: Classic Modules
I just picked up a module that may be a good Funnel.
N1 Against the Cult of the Reptile God.
It is so awesome having a local used book shop that stocks lots of old D&D.

Yes. If the stretch goals are cool enough, there should be no problems getting lots of funding for this.Colin wrote:Fantastic news. Now get those bonus goals sorted; there's still a lot of time for the project to gain more funding!

Re: The Kickstarter madness has me thinking about dice
I'd back the hell out of something like this, I would want them all in the same colour though. Dif colour numerals for d7/d14 for example. And not 'more random but not as nice to hold or roll' precision style either! Comfort over accuracy. I think I would rather have two different colors of plastic...

Re: Is Aereth the default setting for the DCC RPG?
AFAICT from everything that I have read and played, yes Áereth is still the implied setting for DCC. While I too would like to see DCC #35 (and DCC #50 as well) ported to DCCRPG with all sorts of cool maps like the ones in the modules, I am not sure if this is in the cards at this time. Give Goodman...

Re: The Kickstarter madness has me thinking about dice
I'd go for it. It'd need: d3 (ideally d6 numbered 1-3 twice)* d4 (could be a d8 numbered 1-4 twice)* d5 (ideally d10 numbered 1-10 twice)* d7 (ideally d14 numbered 1-7 twice)* * Using the standard dice shapes for these could potentially be cheaper and would certainly be more random in use. To furth...

Re: The Kickstarter madness has me thinking about dice
It'd certainly be possible. Shapeways offer 3D printing in a huge variety of materials, but it's not particularly cheap. For example, this set of Steampunk dice costs $26.50 for the most basic material (plain white, uninked plastic). Obviously it'd be cheaper for a simpler set, but more expensive d...

Re: The Kickstarter madness has me thinking about dice
Has anyone just thought of 3D printing a full set of dice? This is an interesting idea, but I am not sure it is feasible it is. I understand that there are companies trying to produce household 3-D printers, but my understanding is that they are still quite expensive. Perhaps my Kickstarter idea co...

The Kickstarter madness has me thinking about dice
I really want to see sets of dice, including all of the Zocchi polyhedrons, in game stores. In order to give DCCRPG the support it needs new players have to be able to pick up the funky dice at the same time they pickup the book. (Besides, I don't own _nearly_ enough dice.) In all seriousness, I see...

Upped my contrib to $51. We are now over $4000.
I figure 4 modules for ~$50 is a great deal. With the ability to contribute it is a huge deal.

Backed at $32. This is the first Kickstarter which I have ever backed.
I think it is probably the best value that I have seen in a Kickstarter project yet.
Perhaps I should up my pledge...

Re: Got one at FLGS
I saw three copies at my FLGS (Total Escape Games, Broomfield CO). Two foil and one regular copy. All three have the special module in them, which surprised me. I wasn't expecting to see the preorder module on store shelves. I am not sure if they will sit on the shelf long, however. I was letting my...

Re: Creation of Mythology
There is no doubt about it, the Sister Nuns rule! At the very least, they are a force to be reckoned with. Damn Rae and all her questions of cosmology! Re: It Arrived!!!
It is a big book. With the exception of HERO System Fred (5th Edition Revised) it is the biggest (as in shelf space) self-contained RPG rule book that I have ever owned. Now I need to some sort of lectern (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lectern) engraved with all sorts of evil-looking sigils to use ...

Re: Creation of Mythology
This was one of the surprising sleeper elements in my home playtests. I have two clerics (played by women, both calling themselves "sister nuns") and they have created, and are engaged with, a cosmology far beyond my original plans. It is awesome, from the point of view of a judge trying ...

It Arrived!!!
The black cover with gold foil combined with the size of the tome is just awesome. It looks like something that should be sitting in a dungeon somewhere surrounded by several layers of containment wards and traps. I absolutely love it! Great job on the layout and binding. Re: The Next Point of Business
My wishlist: 1. The latest and greatest character sheets available for download on the DCCRPG page. 2. More DCC adventures 3. an official DCCRPG "heavy metal" dice set including Zocchi dice. 4. a Judge's screen (4-fold, or perhaps 5-fold to accommodate all the tables, in portrait) 5. DCCRP...
