So what is the rule with Crits and spells?
I can't find anything about crits anyplace... which confuses me because... under "spell-burn" it says that if you Burn 20 points you automatically" get a crit.
Granted, I understand that higher is better... but ... Why the crit??

I liked the module for Free RPG Day . ...and I am really excited about this contest.... but I really don't think you could run that without the DCC RPG rulebook. Which is kind of odd for a special event book but ... hey it's fun and .... I had the rulebook when I ran it so ... a good time was had by...

I ran the 3rd level adventure for the Free RPG Day giveaway in the store at 2d10 games in Ft Myers Florida today.

I think what killed a lot of the latest versions of D&D were the waves and waves of splatbooks. When the "burden of splat" got too heavy... bam! they would release a new edition so they can start us on a new splatbook treadmill. I really think the game will work best right now if they ...

....and for urban adventuring .. you can't beat Robert Asprin's Thieves' World books.
Im not sure if the are DCC / Appendix N material, but I do think required reading for getting the most out of your thief.

I say keep the class list short and sweet.
If we start making "Barbarian, Pict and Decadent classes " the field get messy very quickly.
If you must have them, make them an occupation for your level 0 characters.
But really I prefer the purity of a short class list.

For elves... I agree. Get rid of the " * vision" and just add to a perception roll.
But for the subterranean races (dwarfs and drow) Ithin they might need a little something...

...and unlike most RPG art these days... it really inspires me to play. Just looking at the black and white line art just gets my creative juices flowing.
