Re: Purple Sorcerer Games: Lair of the Mist Men
The initial battle with the Mist Men found in The Ooze Pits of Jonas Gralk has been reproduced in this adventure for those who wish to introduce the Mist Men to their campaign without also including Slither’s End and its environs. Let me make sure I'm understanding: If I buy Ooze Pits , then I do N...

Seriously?
I'll sell you my copy for less than that. (And before I get burned at the stake, I have the Kovaks "Wizard" cover version as well as the foil version, so I'm not just casually dropping the RPG.)
PM me.

Re: Walking into the Den of Bias ;)
Very much appreciate the feedback. I suppose I am just wary of turning off gamers, but yes, so far the new players have taken to gaming like lightning. I ran them through Mentzer and they loved it. I was told it was the best time they had in gaming yet, and that is with a 2hp elf and a missed secre...

Re: Walking into the Den of Bias ;)
I take a differing view: the DCC RPG explicitly says that it's a game made for experienced players . Have them use Purple Sorcerer's Crawler Companion on their phones to overcome the Zocchi dice issue. It's VERY useful. Have the more experienced gamer help the noobs. And just be wary--the tables (es...

Re: what to do with problem players
As far as the whole Tank issue goes, for the most part just realize that is the background he is coming from. Until he gets a lot more experiences under his belt that's the tool set he is working with. At most my advice on that is don't reward it. If he says "Any Tank gear in this stuff" R...

I own a Nexus 10. I absolutely LUUUURVE that beautiful piece of technology, and I use it for my DCC RPG PDF (as my rule book, so that others can use my dead tree rule book at the gaming table) and I run the Purple Sorcerer "Crawler Companion" on it as well. For adventures, I'm very torn. H...

My only....suggestion? criticism seems too harsh a word...is regarding the serpent folk's reaction to cold. I'd suggest a slightly minor change: between 50 - 32 degrees F, serpent folk experience an Agility penalty (-4 to any Agility-based activities). During combat, they are automatically considere...

Re: No Skyrim for me,instead more DCC RPG!
So I have been eying Skyrim for the past month or so. It looks right up my ally but last time I played it on my sons X-Box it didn't hold my interest for long. I went to the store today to buy it and couldn't make the sale to myself. Not to derail the thread, but....it's still a pretty cool game if...

Wow, that's amazing. I've completely missed out on Crawl but would like to order them all in one shipment now. Does anyone know if it's possible to order the entire back catalogue? Or do I have to order each issue individually? He mailed me a packet of them at once, so I'm fairly sure he'd do the s...
