My question about new homebrewed (and later on I imagine new official) steam weapons: can it be assumed that coglayers and similar classes are auotmatically proficent with these weapons in addition to the ones outlined in the DM core book? I'd say yes, but if anyone disagrees I'd love to hear the re...

remember: THERE ARE SPOILERS IN THIS THREAD!

This post has spoilers. If you intend to play the Shardsfall Quest as a player, I highly recommend you do not read it in order to preserve your enjoyment of the adventure. I ran the first part of the adventure the other night, and I found that a lot of the challenges were actually too EASY for my gr...

Joseph, you are absolutely the most accomodating, helpful, and just plain all-around the coolest author I have ever had the privilege of talking to. If that sentence makes grammatical sense. Yes, this clears it up entirely, and I thank you greatly for it. Ditto that! The spreadsheet is tres useful!

how quickly does dust from the lunar rain accumulate? Well, the easy answer is "As quickly as you want it to." The moon in DragonMech is the physical representation of chaos and change, so dust from lunar sources wouldn't necessarily have to follow the normal rules of physics. Perhaps Ser...

Going way back for a bit: in some of the official WoTC suplements, there are arcane spells for repairing constructs (the "repair damage" spell line in the "tome and blood" book), how would spells designed for repairing magical constructs function as applied to mechs? for the most...

along the same lines, a monk PrC devoted to removing tech based threats (a relative of the ankle biter PrC, i think) to represent the other viewpoint; some monestaries might welcome the changes of the new world and addopt it, while others would see the use of tech (and self modification in particul...

Okay, just an FYI for anyone who is following this thread: Shardsfall Quest is now available through B&Ns throughout the country. I don't know what their deal was, but they have it in stock in their warehouses now.

Complete Guide to Rakshasas is still another matter, though.

Okay, that's more or less what I thought. The Rakshasa book doesn't show up in the B&N system even when you look it up by ISBN. It's just not there, and since every store uses the same databse, no store would be able to get it. But I've often believed that a lot of B&N's buyers don't really ...

I just looked up the adventure while I was at work tonight, and while it is listed in B&N's database, it says it is out of stock and unavailable to order.

I must confess I rather like the "throwing parts together and wondering what it is" game, though. It's an interesting way of looking at the rules that might let you come up with things you wouldn't otherwise think of.

Distribution question.

I work for Barnes & Noble, and I try to make sure we at the Madison East store carry a selection of good d20 products. From my admittedly limited experience, Goodman Games products tend to be pretty good. Sold a few copies of DragonMech already...anyway, getting away from my point already. I've ...
