Re: 5E Magic and Monsters of Lankhmar
I would have liked to have seen a DCC version. :? I'm confused. There already is a DCC Lankhmar. Is that what you are looking for? Over a dozen modules, Lannkhmar campaign boxed set, "Greatest Thieves of Lankhmar" boxed set, and so on. This was a 5E adaptation of some of the same content....

Page 21 has your Demi-Human abilities for the Funnel. The Funnel is an abstraction of the full game for ease of play, and the iron allergy is not an issue in the funnel. Choosing Mithril equipment comes later.

That can't be accurate -- every monster listed in the project is one from the monster section of the Judge's Guide in the boxed set.

Re: Patron Bond
Patron spells are not spells that work the same was as magic the character has researched and created themselves. Patron spells are dependent upon the Patron lending aid in the moment -- they are being invoked , after all. Hence there is a limit and there is a debt that goes with 'casting' such spel...

Re: "recovering the body"
...I simply decided to always consider a natural 20 as an automatic success and a natural 1 as an automatic failure, even in the case where the character has to roll under his Luck score. (like in the French game Nightprowler). This procedure prevents the frustration of dying after a natural 20... ...

Re: Earn Luck points
For me, characters can't get a score in anything higher than an 18 without extreme or supernatural intervention. This is precisely the point I wanted to make, so you decide to "block" the chance scores at 18 ? I just consider that to be the "normal range" for player characters, ...

Re: Earn Luck points
For me, characters can't get a score in anything higher than an 18 without extreme or supernatural intervention. The chart runs from 3 to 18 and that's the range of natural scores. Halflings and Thieves with a score of 18 is fine, if it happens. But gaining Luck for an adventure adds to *current* Lu...

Are the publishers even monitoring this thread? There's been zero response to a pretty big show of enthusiasm. :-( Things get announced when they get announced. The team are not going to tip their hand, as has been the practice for over a decade. Even if they came along and simply said "good i...

Re: Any chance on making some low fantasy adventures?
The Lankhmar campaign set is very faithful to Leiber's stories. So if those match what you want from your game, I'd say that boxed set is the one to go with... I agree 10%. Lahnmar is pretty much "low fantasy" from the get-go and it's a fun set of rules as well. Give it a look! Only 10%, ...

Re: Can Clerics Reverse Spells?
The philosophy is different -- Wizard spells are stolen, eked out of ancient fragments of lore, learned through difficult trial and error, so Wizards have insight into how those spells might be shaped differently; Cleric spells are powers granted by a deity. Creating a 'reverse' spell because it's a...

Re: Doom of the Savage Kings geometry conundrum - Spoiler alert!
I don't know that the chimney's dimensions are specifically given. Also the entire geometry of the crawlspace is more likely to be rough , and expressly not tight right angles. It reminds me of the story about the guy that bought the fishing pole, but then wasn't allowed to bring a 6ft object onto t...

I'll allow Luck to be burnt as normal, and even for Luck checks. The target number is set before the roll; if someone wants to burn to hit that number after the roll, that's works.

3) You keep the same deed result throughout the round, no rerolling Correct, if what you mean is "keep the same number for the attack bonus, the damage boost, and for determining if the Deed is successful." If you get two attacks per round, you re-roll the die. There is no ability to pred...
