Are both metal doors shut? If so, Portly Trim ties to open both of them. Are there any metal buttons on the inside of the room he is in?

Portly Trim uses his torch to illuminate the corners of the room. He is searching for something that will release the door. He also checks the ceiling and walls when he is finished.

Seeing that his banging has not released the door, Fritz begins to carefully examine the door & it's surroundings. He looks for any wires, loose stones or anything that may serve as a release mechanism.

Search roll 18.

Fritz bangs on the metal button with his club, trying to open the door that was closed by the weird creature.

Portly Trim carefully walks over to the dwarf & gives him a small kick to see if he is still alive.

Portly Trim helps provide light with his torch. Fritz readies his club.

After finding no signs of life, Fritz removes the black book & the crowbar from the body of the wizard's apprentice. He places these items in his sack, then goes to the right of Flavia, his club drawn ready for enemies.

A rather out of puff Portly Trim steps into the hall, holding his torch aloft to guide his way.

Portly Trim is alarmed at the sounds he hears. "There's people down there & something's killing them. We need to break down this door."

Portly Trim starts booting down the door.

Portly Trim shines the torch closer to the door to see if he can determine anything on the inside.

My two characters follow Darrow's group towards the clicking sound. Portly Trim providing additional light, Fritz watching behind them, guarding the rear.

Portly Trim doesn't sound convinced. "i'm no expert, but aren't you running the risk of burning your pole? Surely a 10 foot pole is better than a 6 & a half foot pole."
