Re: Run ! Movement & Run ?

I just bought the PDF version of this module ! Although I love Lankhmar (I own the basic DCC box), I have never played in this universe (preferring to slowly detail my little universe - the Gollewin barony - with the modules). That said, it's been several times that I'm confronted with simulations o...

Re: Advice on Intrigue at the Court of Chaos

And I have another little question for those who have already played this module : p18 reads " Careful observation also reveals Lexaliah watching from the shadows cast by the broken stele. " I don't understand what this description refers to. Which broken stele is it ?

Re: Advice on Intrigue at the Court of Chaos

Hello, I'm reopening this topic that was discussed a while ago because it's a module that I immediately wanted to play when I read it. And... I'm also thinking of playing this module soon and another question comes to mind : would it be possible, in your opinion, to play this adventure with a smalle...

the place of the chtulhian myth in DCC !

I'm thinking about a special module designed for two characters in my group of players, lost on another plane. To be precise, this will follow the end of the Frozen In Time module. The two characters lost in a jungle with cyclopean ruins are a cleric of Irddail (Lord of the Hunt and Forests) and a w...

Re: Any published campaign arcs?

The broad intent would be to pick adventures that sound exciting to you and string them together. Best of all worlds... > I completely agree with this idea, which is exactly what I do. It allows you to develop your campaign framework over the course of the modules by modifying certain data so that ...

Small rules for gem cutting

I'm tinkering with a little table to handle raw gem cutting and the value varying with the degree of success of the skill roll. I submit here my humble trick and I also have a question: would you allow Thieves to roll 1d20 because of their class or not ?

That's how I handled it in the last module, for the benefit of the adventurers. However, it's a double-edged sword, because in the other way it can be deadly for the PCs too.

About withdrawal (single) free attack

I re-read the rule point p95 and I have a question. When a creature / character engaged in combat withdraws, its opponents get a free attack, this is all very clear. But when a creature flees, after a failed morale roll for example, ALL its opponents can spend a free attack against it ?

Re: "Hand Made" Character Sheet

Hello ! I have a plan, say for the year 2023, to create a more detailed character sheet for DCC. I find the existing sheets particularly beautiful and mood-enhancing, but I've noticed that many settings are sometimes forgotten during a session, or their calculation can slow down the action. So I sta...

Question (& spoiler) about the module Frozen In Time

I'm preparing the Frozen In Time module that I'll be playing soon and one detail confuses me. In zone 4-3 Treasury [p10], the security field can cause damage and paralyze creatures exposed to it. Let's say a character fails his DC Fort Save, and remains paralyzed, will he take cumulative damage each...

Re: Variant Rules: Skill Dice by Occupation - Chart

Of course, I'm also open to all kinds of modifications to the basic rules of DCC, which seems to me to encourage this kind of initiatives, so no criticism from me (I was only noting the absence of the d18 in the basic set). And this d16, I like it but it rolls, it rolls, it likes to keep the suspens...

Re: Variant Rules: Skill Dice by Occupation - Chart

Quite a job ! I like the idea of using the dice chain more, but when I master, I make skill rolls by feel, which also allows players to argue against their background. I also see that you use the d18, a die that is not required in the basic rules. Still, this list will probably be of interest to som...

Hello, I am looking for a funnel that would be suitable for an initiation for my nephews and their parents, none of whom have done any role playing before. I have created their characters (so each will have 3 levels 0). I'd like them to play an adventure that is short, simple, and memorable and/or p...

Re: Earn Luck points

And another question on the same topic, can a level 0 halfling use his luck burning ability in the same way as a level 1 halfling ? That is to say : can he use it to benefit other characters in the group, and more importantly, does he regain his spent points at the same rate ?
