Here I'll post some stuff that I find on the netz that is, while not really direct depiction of Vance's work, i find stimulates related brain lobes. here is operatic and dream-like p. craig russell's avatar & chimera on the great the bronze age of blogs.

but story aside take a look at the cover of the star reach classics #3. to me it practically cries dying earth. vat-thing or turjanic adevnturer and menacing magician or something worse creeping behind in the lush colored nightscape? SPLENDID!

This one is probably a little bit more dreamlike and 1001 nights but it is kaluta and you can imagine either t'sais or t'sain getting a hold of a flying carpet and flying things in the background could be pelgranes. i especially like her striking all-red outfit. dying earth is nothing if not the style.
btw, it is titled she's leaving home by mike kaluta.

bruce pennington. suitably creepy yet intelligent and probably loquacious gargoyle overlooking the pass for overconfident wayfarers.

alan lee gormenghast. when you come to think of it steerpike is cugel's older, more ruthless, less foppish and, at latter stage, mad cousin.

ian miller, goodman games author, gormenghast. maybe a little bit gothic but such sprawling monstrosity would certainly have its place under red sun.

Something that is probably a bit too high tech but really makes me think of The Dying Earth is art by Jean Giraud "MÅ“bius".
