Old school essentials vs Basic/Expert Remastered

Post by BanjoJohn »

So, I haven't kickstarted either of these, but was interested in picking up some hardcopies if they do become available.

I didn't get into D&D until like.. a couple months before 3rd edition came out, so when I was doing my first adventure as a player, a whole new thing came out, so I didn't really experience any of the older D&D editions even to this day.

Are both of these essentially the same version of D&D, just with different presentation? Or do they cover different "editions" of D&D? How are these two projects different from each-other? How are they similar?

Essentially the same thing. OSE has a nicer layout and better looking books.
