How do you pronounce that?

Post by chrispys »

Could you please post a list of name pronunciations? I am specifically interested in the names of the Lunar gods, but I wouldn't mind it if you wanted to add more.

Thanks!!!

P.S. Of course, if I get pointed to a page in the book, I'm going to feel like a real idiot for missing it. :D

I'd think Seroficitacit at least would demand that his/her/its name be pronounced differently each time. After all he/she/it is the epitome of Change.

As for the others, well, lunar names and Highpoint mindset don't mix, so stumbling and stuttering along the names would be normal. Unless of course the NPC in question has been taken over by a 'lunar carpet' (I like that nickname!) in which case the name would come out smoothly and glibly.

Just make them sound really weird and you'll do all right. :)

Seriously, though, here's how I've pronounced them:

Seroficitacit: SAIR (rhymes with "fair") - oh - fiss - ih (as in "it") - tass - it.

Andakakilogitat: and - uh - KACK - uh - loe - ji - tat.

Erefiviviasta: AIR - uh - fif - uh - viv - ee- ass - tuh.

And "that other god"...

Dotrak: DOE - track.

Hope that helps.
