What is so crazy is the AGE of those places. When playing games, I think we should keep that in mind, this idea of an impossibly distant and unknowable past contained within the "dungeon." Who built it? Why? Who knows!

Not everything will ever be explained or make sense. Though that may be an affront to our modern sensibilities.

Nice stuff. If I ever go to Turkey I will definitely check out the underground city of Derinkuyu and Gobekli Tepe. They have a great Appendix N, Lovecraft & REH feel to them and I would love to see them.
