Anyone do Dune for DCC?

My family loved the new Dune movie and this seems like a decent time to try to convince my daughter to get back into RPGs. I was wondering if anyone has tried to do Dune using the DCC RPG. I'm thinking that there are fighters, bene geseret witches, fremen, nobles, assassins, and other neat classes that could be done.

I know that Dune is a scifi setting, and I'm not sure if there are any pure scifi rules sets for DCC (MCC and Purple Planet don't seem to quite fit) so it may or may not require a lot of conversions to make it fit. On the other hand, Dune mostly takes place on a single world and with personal shields we don't get much raygun/laser action, so maybe it fits in well with fantasy rules.

I already own the 2d20 version and may end up giving it a shot instead, but it doesn't inspire me like DCC does.

If I was going to create a Dune setting, I would either use Galaxy Black (with DCC) or Stars Without Number (non-DCC).

Hmmm. Never heard of Galaxy Black, but if it's DCC it sounds more like what I want. Off to Google... (I have a lot of other RPGs. SWN is a good one, but I'd probably just "wing it" with OD&D if I wanted another RPG to pick from.)

I see there is a Galaxy Black Player's Bundle for $12! I just ordered a hardback copy of Hubris, or I would go for this right now. Perhaps in a few months...

With the next Dune movie only a few months away, I thought I'd give this thread a little bump.

I haven't progressed my Dune project at all. :( Anyone do a Dune DCC homebrew?
