Any chance on making some low fantasy adventures?

Post by Hemlock »

I enjoy high fantasy adventures sometimes but really like low fantasy the better. I played/run numerous DCC adventures and some are extremely over the top high fantasy. Any chance on making some official adventures that tone down the fantasy a bit?

I hadn't played Lankhmar yet but was thinking on buying it except not sure if the campaign setting is extreme on the high fantasy concept.

Toss up between Lankhmar or RQ Adventures in Glorantha.

Not complaining too much but need some low fantasy for a change and was hoping either Lankhmar fits the bill or other adventures that are premade.

The Lankhmar campaign set is very faithful to Leiber's stories. So if those match what you want from your game, I'd say that boxed set is the one to go with...

I agree 10%. Lahnmar is pretty much "low fantasy" from the get-go and it's a fun set of rules as well. Give it a look!

Played my first Lankhmar adventure last night and it was 👍 great! Less high fantasy (gonzo). Because of my experience, I plan on getting the Lankhmar campaign setting, Greatest Thieves box set and adventures.

All I ask is please, Goodman Games, keep any new Lankhmar stuff low fantasy and true to the books...that I also just started reading and enjoy.

I remember when AD&D spells casting times were reduced by that amount. Looking forward to DCC Lankhmar, wonder if they did something similar.
