Cleric disapproval and spell casting

Post by brogan_a »

I am playing a cleric and I am wondering what happens when I have a high disapproval range from a long day of spell casting, say it is at 12. Then I try and cast a spell and roll an 11, I technically succeed with a spell check good enough to cast the spell, but I am also in my disapproval range. What happens? Does the spell work and I get disapproval? That would be odd if my god was mad and happy at me at the same time. Thoughts?

A spell check within your disapproval range automatically fails.

Roll 11d4 to determine the results of your disapproval.

This one is going to hurt.

...Don't rely on your gods for magical assistance so much; search for alternatives... You've got a sword-arm for a reason!
