spell check fumble

Hello,

A point of rules remains for me rather vague, I perhaps did not seek in the good place in the basic book...

When a mage gets a fumble on his spell check, can he cancel the bad effects by burning Luck points ? It is written that he cannot counter the harmful effects of arcane reversals. Does this mean that the other effects (spell loss, corruption, etc.) can be avoided by burning Luck ?

Pg. 116 of the core rulebook, under Corruption: "Luck to avoid corruption: A wizard that suffers corruption may burn a point of Luck to avoid the corruption. The Luck can be burned after the player rolls to determine the specific corruption result. Note that Luck cannot be burned to avoid a spell misfire, only to avoid corruption. Patron taint is considered corruption for these purposes."

Rules as written: corruption, but not the consequences of a misfire, can be avoided by burning Luck.
