halflings detecting traps ?
A simple question for the Judges : do you allow halflings, non-thief characters, to make trap detection rolls with a d20 ? Or at least with a die higher than the d10 in the dice chain ?

Re: halflings detecting traps ?
Depends on their former Occupation.
A Hunter is going to have had some experience with traps, most likely. So I'd give them a d14 or so... A Dwarven rat-catcher, likewise. If it's a trap that involves rope, a Rope maker would have better than a d10, etc.

Thanks for your comment GnomeBoy, it does seem quite logical.
