[ooc]Yep, doing fine here too. Probably spending too much time gaming given the wealth of online games now available, but make hay while the sun shines, eh? Anyone planning on doing GenCon online?[/ooc]

We are well! In the weird situation of our country doing OK with the covid situation, but our economy / jobs / the rest of it still tanking because the bulk of our industries (tourism, especially) are dependent on having open borders. Which we can't open again now that we have drawn a line in the sand about eliminating covid completely.

I didn't realise it was online this year (but I guess it's inevitable). Being in NZ it's not something I would have attended, so I am intrigued, and keen to maybe take part!

Yep, GenCon is online; I wouldn't have had the chance to go to GenCon in person, either.
Badges (available now) are free. Event schedule to be posted July 6, game registration to open July 13.

And you were so close! Except for having those open borders. Where I am in Canada the economy is dependent on oil & gas; so, Covid was merely a distraction for how bad things were getting already, and even with restrictions starting to lift, things are looking bleak here.

Thanks for the links; I've got a post-it here to remind me to check the schedule!

I think we did the right thing; most of the country is still behind the sentiment, though I know a lot of people were hoping we could create a "trans-Tasman bubble" eventually with Australia, though with Melbourne going into lockdown again I don't think that's going to be happening any time soon!
