Dragonmech possibly coming back with the new D&D edition?

Post by Draconis13 »

Since 5th edition is out. Whats the possibility of a Dragonmech book for 5th? I am gearing up some heavy conversion work to run Shardsfall hopefully in 2015 and I am trying to tackle the Steam powers and Mech combat to be workable in 5th. Its a bit hard (I have outlined my take on a 5th ed coglayer in the Dragonmech forum) Especially balancing the power curve being able to fit powers together tends to bring. As well the 3.5 one while neat was very book keeping intensive as you had to have some big investments into just keeping your mech fueled up. Especially when it comes to coglayers switching powers, stoking their own boilers and making stuff as even the most fabulous of treasures are getting shucked to fuel arts and crafts time with the welder and anvil. Great series of books and likely one of my favorite settings but I felt I had to abstract the coal, fuel and other minutia to keep the bean counting down.
