Harley Stroh Appointed Dungeon Crawl Classics Line Editor

Post by goodmangames »

Goodman Games is pleased to announce the newest member of our staff: Harley Stroh is the new Line Editor for Dungeon Crawl Classics. Harley is one of the most prolific DCC authors. He is responsible for some of the most beloved adventures in the line, including #17: Legacy of the Savage Kings (widely considered one of the best modules published in 2005) and #28: Into the Wilds. His other DCC credits include #12.5: The Blackguard’s Revenge, #17.5: War of the Witch Queen, #27: Revenge of the Rat King, and two mini-adventures in DCC #29: The Adventure Begins, as well as project lead on the upcoming DCC #35: Gazetteer of the Known Realms.

In his new role, Harley will be responsible for overseeing future development for the DCC line. “The most exciting aspect of working as a developer is seeing a new author come up with a brilliant adventure concept,” said Harley. “These designers are reaching into the roots of fantasy role-playing, and coming back with cutting-edge, iconic dungeons that – as players – we somehow always knew about, but that no one has ever written. These are the adventures I’ve waited my entire life to play.”

Please congratulate Harley on his new position. As always, submissions are accepted for the Dungeon Crawl Classics line – and now they should be directed to harley@goodman-games.com.

Thanks, guys. Deep inside, I’m still that nine-year old kid, drawing ten-ft. corridors on blue-lined graph paper when he should be paying attention to math class. Writing for Goodman Games has always been a huge privilege; getting to help develop the upcoming adventures is even more fun.

So make my job easy and keep turning in awesome adventures, okay? ;)

Deep inside? Come now, you're still drawing ten-ft. corridors on blue-lined graph paper, admit it!

Hopefully getting Harley's autograph on some DCC's won't also involve a pecuniary exchange!

Congrats, Harley, on the DCC Line Editorship... Woot!

With all your hard work on the line Goodman Games projects, it's certainly a well-earned and well-warranted role. I hope editing and managing the DCC line becomes just as rewarding and engaging as writing modules and working on the DCC world project!

All the best,

Jay

Cool, congratulations Harley!

Please don't stop writing great adventures, though--you are one of the best authors GG has.

In other words, just because you're now editor that doesn't mean you can't slip your own stuff in the admission pile now and again, right?!?

Either way--good luck!

Ogrepuppy,

Thanks for the kind words. That's a great alias. :)

No plans for new modules by Harley Stroh right now, mostly because all the upcoming adventures are WAY cooler than anything I could come up with. I'd like to write a final Witch Queen module at some point, but want to take the time to make it something special.

BTW, my Goodman Games address is up and running again, so send in those adventure proposals!

Harley,

So did you get my final citadel map for HOM???

I hope these can be posted on the website once the boxed set out, as they are some of my best work, and I'd like people to get a chance to run around in full color in one the BEST adventures I've read in some time.

Zero level characters.....against a minotaur. Frickin evil!!!!

Again, nice work, and look forward to paypaling you soon for an autographed box set !!!!
